About The Memorial
The Shyamji Krishna Varma Memorial provides a glimpse of his life and his contribution during the freedom struggle of India which will continue to inspire the present and future generations.

He was one of the foremost freedom fighters in the history of the freedom movement of India with high sense of patriotism and selfless service for the nation. He had organized a revolutionary center in “India House” at London and propagated the cause of India’s independence through his writings in his publication journal called “The Indian Sociologist”

Life & Times
Shyamaji Krishna Varma was born on 4th October, 1857 in Mandvi, a province in Kutch, Gujarat. He was the son of Karsan Bhanushali, a laborer for Cotton Press Company and Gomatibai, his mother who died when Shyamaji was only eleven years old. Shyamji Krishna Varma was then raised by his grandmother.

The Shyamji Krishna Varma memorial is open to all visitors through out the week. The memorial has a replica of the famous India House, a library and a research center to study the contributions of Varma and other great revolutionaries to the country's freedom movement. Moreover, it also has on display paintings of the famous Indian revolutionaries which have been painted by some of the renowned artists.

From 02/01/2014 TO 08/01/2014week total 3918 visitors, 06 Primary school, 05 Secondary school have turned up at the Memorial which includes the public from all walks of life.

So now till today i.e. from 15th December, 2010 to 09th January , 2013  total:  10,33,147 visitors and total 2041 Primary/Secondary Schools & Colleges have visited the Great National Memorial - "Kranti Teerth" of Shree Shyamji Krishna Varma at Mandvi - Kachchh (Gujarat).
